More vinyl is coming later this autumn. We sold a lot of vinyl at the concert last week, so much that the first batch of Retrotopia sold out, and my company moved up a tax class and now have to pay VAT.
The factory is now printing more, according to them I should receive the full batch sometime next week. I also have to make some boring business changes to my company accounting for proper VAT setup.
Everyone who pre-ordered on Bandcamp will get their Retrotopia as soon as I have them, I hope to ship them out late next week. And as soon as I’ve figured out the tax issues with selling merchandise I’ll reopen the Bandcamp store, also hopefully in a week or so.
Double tax issue on Bandcamp
Note that there was double-tax issue with VAT on Bandcamp – I wasn’t aware that Bandcamp now automatically adds local tax at checkout, and also my company is suddenly now VAT responsible, so many of the pre-orders ended up with double taxes. I have contacted everyone who paid double tax by email, and have gotten response from most of them but still some customers I haven’t been able to get hold of. If you did pre-order Retrotopia vinyl on Bandcamp and have NOT heard from me, look in your junk email folder, or just contact me directly (email ugress@ugress.com). I’ll refund you the extra tax.
