Ugress - Reminiscience Released
by GMM on June 15th 2009, at 00:00 CET

You can listen to the whole album right here right now.

You can buy a download directly from me in my mp3 store, you can also buy lossless version.

If you want a physical copy you can buy it directly from my own store the Uncanny Mall, record shops in Norway, or globally from Amazon when they update their catalogue.

You can also buy it in iTunes and other mp3 stores, available as they run their daily or weekly release batch.

It should be available on Spotify when they update their catalogue.

Got mine on Saturday. Wrote an E-Mail with my first thoughts and will write a more comprehensive review and plug on my blog later.
Verdict in short: pure awesomeness!

Congratulations on the release, sitting at work listening to the album and its bringing good feelings (and teasing me with barely recognizable samples from old past times, bringing up subtle c64 memories )

Yo!
This is a GREAT album!
AMZ 1974....OMG! Makes me tickle all over! The perfect and amazingly funky feeling I LOVE. It made me jump around in my tiny living-room and playing my bass for hours on end!

"New Shoes.."-thingy... hmmm... No need to say, It just blew my mind! Got the dub-feel, so...say no more!

"Sandtraps"...yummy!

Congratulations!

It is truly the sign of an independent (not to mention customer-friendly) artist to not only include a digital download with the purchase of a physical copy, but to also include extra schwag to the first handful(s) who order. Even though it most likely means more work on your end, I'm glad you make music on your own terms - not on the terms of some evil megacorporation. That being said, congrats on yet another groovy album!

I was going to buy at the uncanny mp3 store (i assume you receive the most money from that one?) but it was down. Didn't have patience so i ordered it from itunes instead.

Always happy as a kid when checking out the newest Ugress album because:
- you never really know what to expect
- except that it's going to be at least good, if not excellent

Listened through it once and first impressions are very good to awesome. Works a lot better than Unicorn imo. Some awesome tracks in there.

I still feel you should cut out the more mainstream tunes like Sandtraps (it doesn't do anything to me). And i wouldn't mind less vocal stuff. Your tunes don't need it in most cases (on the contrary imo). I'd love to hear a vocal-less Chrome Shuriken Dragonfire version for example.

Favourite track so far: The Bosporus Incident. What an awesome track.

But hey, don't get me wrong. First impressions are very good :)

I bought the album on the release day.... have listened to it every day since and love it so much.

I like all your albums but Reminiscience and Resound takes the cake! Hope this one will sell good!

The only problem is that this music makes me wanna go back to Bergen again (I live in Copenhagen)
