FAQ
Last updated October 2008.
Can I use your music in my student project / work portfolio / hobby video?
Yes. In general, non-commercial usage of the music is super cool.
Credits would be nice.
If you are in doubt if your usage is within non-profit limits, just ask.
In case your use needs a licence, don't panic, my sync rates are very friendly.
When is the next album coming out?
First half 2009.
Where can I buy your albums?
In my own digital mp3 store.
They are also available on iTunes and other major digital music stores.
Physical releases mostly available in Scandinavian music retailers but Amazon has them.
When are you coming to play in my town/my country/my house?
See the calendar for live dates and happenings.
Currently, fall/winther 2008, we're working double full time on a TV show meaning no live gigs fall 2008.
Will the music be available in OGG/FLAC/lossless format?
Yes, there is a 95% chance that by the next Ugress album all music will be available losslessly.
What kind of software/hardware do you use?
A huge, custom built electronic device called the Soundtronic 8000. It is specifically designed
to chew beats and loops at twice the speed of light. It has more than 4000 nanobytes of non-volatile DRAM,
dedicated SPDIF controls and it's own domain switch. Here is a picture,
the frequency fluxmodulator section operated by two of my genetically cloned technicians.

Maybe you don't believe that. There are some posts in
the journal about equipment and software.
Can I send you my music, so you can listen to it and love it, and then give it to one of your super elite record company friends,
and then make me a rich pop star, just because that's how it works?
No.
Why isn't there a question about what the word "Ugress" means?
Because it's not a frequently asked question.
What is Cowboy Desperado?
Cinematronics was only released in Scandinavia. Cowboy Desperado was the European
version of Cinematronics with some tracks from Resound.
I've got an mp3 version of a song called Scared Away. Did you do it and is it available on CD/vinyl?
Scared Away was done by me under a my sideproject
Shadow Of The Beat
and is available on
Port Azur sampler #1.
It is unfortunately not available on vinyl but available from the Shadow website.
I'd like too book you for a gig. What do I do?
See the booking page! You just call
or email Atomic (our booking agency) and make the arrangements.
Then we come and play. Everybody happy.
I'd like to use/license some of your music in a film/project/web. What do I do?
Great! Please contact us with details of your project.
For school projects/demo work/non-profit
work it's usually just enough with an email for permission. If your project has commercial
interests you'd need to talk to my publisher to negotiate usage terms and eventual fees.
We'll put you in contact with the publisher if needed.
I'm running an Internet radio. Can I playlist your music?
Yes. Please report your usage to the correct collection organization if possible.
We support online radio, but please consider supporting us back by paying any
fee your country's law instructs you to. If you feel the fee is too high,
or you can't afford it, please consider an online donation thru Paypal or linking
to www.ugress.com. If you are a pirate, thats OK too, remember to brush your teeth,
pirates always had bad teeth.
My question isn't on this list. I have a really good one!
Really? Did you try searching the blog,
most of our thoughts are available over there.
If that didn't help, let's see it.
